Conservation: Donate & Participate

For every dollar spent with Aves, twenty cents is donated to the conservation organizations, breeding programs, and aviculturalists responsible for the conservation of these wonderful species. 

Art & Conservation:

Aves Gallery is actively exploring links between art and conservation. To participate or collaborate, please email us directly through the Contact page.

   Current Projects:

  • The Macaw Sanctuary: The Macaw Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) operated by Bob Dawson and his wife. Their small team cares for more than 500 rescued macaws. Providing the level of care these birds require is a monumental task. To get involved, please contact us directly, or visit the MacawRescueandSanctuary.org

  • Video Production: Aves Gallery is currently seeking donors for the production of a series of bird documentaries filmed by Harvard Ornithologist Tim Laman. Tim Laman is a world renowned Photojournalist working with the Cornell Lab, the BBC, and other notable organizations. The video below is one of Tim's great works with the Cornell lab documenting the plight of the critically endangered Helmeted Hornbill. Unfortunately, this species is nearing extinction due to it's highly sought after ivory casque. Without the work of photojournalists like Tim, garnering the support of local governments and conservationists would not be possible. To learn more, please visit Tim's website at www.timlaman.com
